"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us...For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?...But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it."

- Romans 8:18-25

"why cant you be like stephanie?" that was the first thing my mom asked me after steph called about sharing a private tennis lesson. "stephanie is a survivor. you dont care at all. you have no sense at all. you dont understand anything. youre so naive." HM GEE THANKS MOM. she can never admit she's wrong. although she says she does it out of love, i mean seriously GIVE me a break and STOP comparing me to other people. she then started ranting about how maybe just very rare kids have an innate quailty to be aggressive, strive for what they want, and have a lot of motivation. WELL i DO strive. what made me get a 4.0? how did i improve all my B math test scores to four 100% math test grades? i was the one who wanted to take the chem class over the summer. because i was scared, so i wanted to get ready. the only good thing about her raving in the car was my dad trying to defend me. i appreciated it. probably the reason i always bring my rioriot with me everywhere is so that i can just put on my headphones and block out the incessant criticism of my mother. obviously, she doesnt realize that i do care about my future, and therefore i will never live up to her standards.
