i was looking for something on my computer and i encountered this text document of something i had to write for english when we were reading romeo and juliet. im pretty sure i still feel this way after a year.... yup just found it interesting. haha i think the first paragraph i started out future tense.. then i changed to present tense. probably because i feel that God has already chosen him? or what? i dont know what i was thinking then. forgive my horrible grammar.
I have many guidelines for a good future husband for myself. He must be Christian and spiritual, or at least willing to convert later on in the relationship. That way (I am Christian), if we ever encounter a situation that is causing trouble, we can pray together and overcome our problems together with the Lord. I also prefer my husband to be Chinese. I am not being racist or anything; it�s just that I think it would be somewhat easier to relate with someone with the same background as me. We probably will be able to talk about the �Asian pressure� we went through as children, and sometimes talk in Chinese to explain things a little better or make jokes. This man must be confident and responsible. He can�t always rely on others and must pay for the consequences of his actions. He must have very good priorities and morals and make well thought out decisions. One big thing is, he can�t have sex before marriage. He wants kids though; he isn�t anti-kid social. I want my husband to be respectful towards me and respect my privacy. He must be open minded and easy to get along with so that I will be able to talk with him about my problems and be sure to help him with the problems that he spills out to me. Although he is tough on the outside (willing to stand up for what he believes in and his loved ones), he is a kind, giving, and loving person. He is honest and faithful and will always keep his promises. He is a challenging man. He doesn�t always laugh and let you win, he sometimes likes to tease and get in mini fun arguments, because that�s what helps relationships, contrast and understanding. He is not messy and sloppy. He does his best to maintain a nice environment around himself and keeps himself clean, presentable, and not �scrubby.� He is hard working and preferably very intelligent. He has true friends and gets along with my friends. My parents love him because they know that he is a good and polite man that will treat me very well. He has an attractive voice that just makes you want to listen to him forever. His eyes are soft and warm and his smile is very inviting. He has soft skin and pinchable cheeks, which makes him adorable! His arms are big and muscular so that he can hold you when you feel insecure and upset. He has a beautiful voice that he often uses to sing you to sleep. He doesn�t take drugs, drink alcohol, or smoke, and has never considered doing any of it. He doesn�t whine; he is very mature and handles things in an unselfish manner. He is humble, and avoids bragging about anything. He is athletic, plays a musical instrument, and has some skills in self-defense. As you can see, he is very talented and has a lot of potential for many things. This man is someone you can count on and loves you with all his heart. He supports the family and is encouraging. Family and religion are his number one priorities, and he will never let those go down any lower. This is the man that I plan to marry. |
