"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us...For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?...But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it."

- Romans 8:18-25

mr ha brought up a really good point during class yesterday. i dont remember why he mentioned it but he was talking about how its incredible that the united states has the highest suicide rate compared to all the other countries. people in third world countries who suffer from lack of medication, war, suffering, food, shelter, etc. don't kill off their own lives like us people of the united states do. we have a home to go to, good food to eat, an education, family, friends, and yet.... we consider ourselves unhappy. we complain in our online journals "omg i just want to die right now. my life is so fing horrible. life sucks like a mother... i got a C on a quiz and my boyfriend just dumped me. its the end of the world.. boohoo blablabla." yeah cry me a river. pretty unbelievable isnt it? we should be grateful for what we have... i know that i may be totally sounding like a hypocrite but its just something to really think about. the people of this world today especially in our kind of society dont realize that they are so SELFISH (including myself).
