Today in AP Statistics, I asked Dr. Fry if I could go to the restroom (my hands were sticky from eating my Quiznos Black Angus sub), he then noticed my BLOGGER sweatshirt that I was wearing. He started asking me about it and where he could find blogs on politics. He then asked me for the URL of my blog. He busted out his pencil and stickypad to jot it down. I just gave him an anxious look, a few "Uhhhh"s, and finally retorted with a, "I think it would bore you." I think he could tell that I really didn't want to give it to him so he altered the subject a little. Dr. Fry is one of my favorite teachers, but I just would NOT want teachers reading this thing.
You know what is such a beautiful song? "Picture" by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow. In the song, they're such opposites, yet they're madly in love with each other. Kid Rock portrays himself as the guy who makes plenty of mistakes, and probably one of them set himself apart from Sheryl. "Feeling up on cocaine and whisky, wish I had a good girl to miss me. Lord I wonder if I'll ever change my ways." I just love how they're so different, and how they're characters are contrasting. The best part is when Sheryl sings, "I was headed to Church.." but then Kid Rock cuts in and sings with such a painful strident voice, "I was off to drink you away." It shows another difference of how they deal with their depression and lonliness. Brilliant. I don't know if this song touches anyone else, but I can totally relate. You reminded me of brighter days. Since you've been gone, my world's been dark and grey. |
