"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us...For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?...But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it."

- Romans 8:18-25

Merry Christmas

Last night was our family get together where the family from both of my parents sides come over, have dinner, and exchange gifts. I love how no one bothered to go out and get me a present. Instead I received five red envelopes. $$$!

So my cousin David decides to torture all the kids at the dinner table with stupid critical thinking mind puzzles. Yes, this is what the Chinese kids do during their Christmas dinner. The longest one was the one called "Petals around a rose;" well at least it took ME forever. I was getting so frustrated and my mind was mentally exhausted. Haha, after many clues, I finally got it; at least I didn't give up! Yes, I'll keep telling myself that. Sigh even my sixth grader cousin got it before me! How shameful on my part. It was cute though because my third grade cousin would always scream, "I GOT IT! OH I GET IT!" Then when we tested him, he'd get the wrong answer. Haha, what a cutie. I think I spent a good hour on that.

Angela wasn't exposed to Russell Peters yet, so I kept her out of her deprivation and showed her the 45 minute long video. Good stuff. I had just watched the whole thing in the morning while I was cleaning my room. Somehow the jokes and accents never seem to get old.

By the time they left, I was semi-snoozing in front of the TV watching Law and Order: Criminal Intent. I really wanted to plop onto my bed and go to sleep, but ironically I stayed up until 3 am talking to Raymond and some other crazy insomniacs (Charles Lee, Andrew, Lawmandy, Brian, Stephanie).

Ugh I hate how my mom is nagging me to study Physics on Christmas day! Comon now! I think I shall start my Calculus homework because, unsurprisingly, I'm behind in that.

I hope I can go to Church today.
