I went to see Dr. Turner today, my special eye care doctor for my left eye. My mom was really upset and she was talking about how she really wants to sue Dr. Kim (my optometrist) because of what happened to my eye and how he wasn't a very good doctor about it. Actually, I used to really like Dr. Kim. Part of me still does. He's a really nice man. However, something happened that made me lose respect for him. My dad's coworker went to go see him to see whether or not he wanted to see Dr. Kim on a regular basis. He asked Dr. Kim if he had any patients who got herpes in the eye during his care. Dr. Kim said no. Wow, what a liar.

So anyway my mom was venting and being moody. I guess I tuned her out on the car ride and I started praying to God asking Him to make my eye better. If He can cure the sick and cast out demons from others just touching His robe, what was the difficulty in this? God, You are a miracle worker. You are my healer. I love trusting God. It's just gives me such a sense of security and happiness knowing that God will take care of me.

Oh, in the waiting room I was talking to my mom about UCs and such. I suddenly got a really worried look on my face when my mom brought up the fact that Berkeley is going to be the last of the UCs to come out with their decisions. She told me, "Don't worry. Just keep praying that God will choose a college for you." Then she mentioned something about fate, and how God has set a path for each and every one of His children. Yeah, that made me smile.

I got a pamphlet from NYU in the mail today talking about "Choosing NYU, Planning for the Future." Uh, so I'm confused... is that a way of them saying that I'm in? Meh, confusing.

ANYWAYS. I got off-track. The doctor checked my eye and said that he was shocked. He said unbelieveably the scarring on my left eye was completely gone and my cornea had cleared up. He mentioned that usually when the eye scars, the scar is there forever, but in my case, it was particularly unusual. So yes my eye is a lot better. He even told me that I could possibly start wearing contacts again after another year. Wow, that makes me happy too. After the good news, I just kept repeating in my head, "God, you're amazing."
