"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us...For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?...But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it."

- Romans 8:18-25

Forever is going to be so sweet.

Tonight I was confirmed that my mom is still a Christian baby.

We were talking about what my brother should major in and my mom brings up that he should go into business so that he can make a lot of money in the future.

I said, "Mom, life isn't about money."
And my mom said, "Yes. Life IS about money. You'll understand ten years from now. You can only have a good life if you are rich, not poor."

It was rather disheartening for me to hear that from her. I know I've always known that that's how her priorities are--that a successful career is the key to happiness. She is a believer, but I need to start praying for her every night to spiritually grow.

Lately, I've been thinking about how my future degree in architecture can edify the body and glorify God. So far I've come up with: 1) Build houses for the needy and 2) Build churches.

Jesus said,

"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
-Mark 10:25

I think we all need to realize that LIFE is temporary. It is SO short compared to eternity (duh). We spend eternity with God. We spend eternity with our brothers and sisters in Christ. What is hindering us from building up a healthy relationship with our Father in Heaven? What is hindering us from growing closer to the church life? THESE are the things that truly count.

God will provide. Be anxious of nothing... and seek first the Kingdom of God. Right, EBCB girls? :)
