In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand My first two days of classes is over. It actually feels pretty satisfying to have something productive to do each day. I've been sleeping before 12 a.m., following my diet plan, getting out and breathing the fresh fresh air, and spending free time with the best book ever (BIBLE!). I can already feel the busy-ness that this semester will bring, but I have HOPE that my first focus will be for Christ! I'm excited for Welcome Week for Eastbay. The freshman class has been working hard and having long discussions about what to do and present the theme of "Identity in Christ." Afterwards, I'll be going home for Chinese New Year. The following week I'm going home again because Lisa (cousin!) and aunt are coming to visit from Canada. Wow I haven't seen them in four years! I'm going to miss Senior interclass, which upsets me a lot, but I'm really glad that I'll be reuniting with my relatives. Yesterday I encountered a situation where I saw how different Christians and non-Christians think. I witnessed how most non-Christians... really don't know what the purpose of life is, but when it is taken away, they see it as an injustice. Where does their hope lie? Our hope is in Christ. The one who came to be our Savior. It just gives us such a sense of peace and understanding. I love this trust. |
