When I went home this weekend, my mom and I spontaneously bought a mini Holland lop as well as another parakeet.
Here is my new bunny who is now Velveteen's new friend. Well they live in separate cages, but they will soon be best buds. Her name is Tokki. In the morning my mom was saying how my balcony is like Snow White's palace--birds jumping and chirping and rabbits scurrying. My dad then adds, "And you are Snow White the princess." Heh heh.... My mom also bought be some clothes from Forever 21 a few weeks ago and gave them to me on Sunday. One of the shirts had a beer mug on it that said: "SPRING BREAK. We came, we saw, we drank." I was very puzzled. When I explained to my mom what the shirt meant, she was so surprised and said, "I liked the color!" Yeah, she's going to return that shirt. Apartment hunting. Living situations. ALL JOY, Janet. Patience, sacrifice, and sanctification. Last night while I was studying for NutriSci, Sally came into the study lounge to say goodnight. She was holding her toothbrush with a squirt of toothpaste on it, all ready to brush her teeth! Well she didn't brush her teeth until 2-3 hours later because we ended up chatting the night away. I was showing Sally what a sinful person I was in the past through my old blog entires. HAHA. Anyway here's an excerpt from an entry on February 9, 2004 (one year anniversary of my baptism). It's amazing how it's already been a whole year. A whole year since I've really touched God, and declared that He is my choice. So much has happened within 365 days. You should really read my posts from freshman year and the beginning of sophomore year. I seem so different; much more immature, vain, and clueless of the Christian life. I did accept Jesus and knew He was my savior, and all that at that time, but never did I really experience Him throughout my daily life. I have turned to God for almost everything within this one year.. whether it be school, parents, friends, Church life, my brother, myself, my joys, my sorrow, my wishes, etc. And it's only been one year, and I have a much longer road ahead of me where I can walk with Him hand in hand. Reading that was humbling, and yet amazing. At that time I thought I was so "godly" and so mature, and yet, I wasn't at all. God has truly shown His faithfulness throughout my life. He has been constantly growing in me and revealing Himself to me every day, every year. Even now, I am FAR FAR FAR from God's perfect standard. This will be a long process of molding. God, You are so good to me! |
