"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us...For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?...But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it."

- Romans 8:18-25

I wish I could fly with any happy little thought...

I watched Peter Pan last night. Oh, and I also watched Great Mouse Detective this afternoon. Anyway, I never realized how good of a Disney movie Peter Pan is. I think the last time I watched it was in elementary school. The songs are also fun to sing along to. I love Nana and Michael! Cuties. Call me a Disney movie dork, but I noticed that the voice of Wendy is the voice of Alice from Alice in Wonderland, and Smee's voice is the voice of the white rabbit. When you watch classic Disney movies as an adult, it's so much more of a different experience compared to when you're a kid. It's sweet knowing that I was so naive as a child to enjoy these movies for their animations and songs (well, I guess I still do). In Peter Pan, there is SO much jealousy among the girls over affection from Peter Pan. Wendy, Tinkerbelle, the mermaids, and Tiger Lily fight DIRTY! Also, there's a lot of racism and sexism in the movie; that's actually how it is in a lot of old Disney movies. Our society's values are progressing so quickly.

This summer I want to watch a lot more: Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Bambi, Dumbo, The Fox and the Hound, Pinocchio, 101 Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp, The Sword in the Stone...

Oh my, my least favorite Disney movie is Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I told my mom that when I become a parent, I want all our Disney movies so I can let my kids watch them. :)

I start summer school and work this Monday. I have 8:30 a.m. class. AHHH!
