It's a miracle to me, and it's still a mystery.
Happy belated new year. Reflections upon 2006? There was definitely much sanctification; so many of my sins that I was never convicted of before constantly tugged at my heart. I felt the burn of refiner's fire. It was painful, uncomfortable, but needed. This year I want to taste utter humility and undergo complete dependency. Knowing that even at my best, my life is but a breath. I'm praying that my only desire would to be an empty vessel for the use of God's glory and to EAGERLY wait for His return. I'm already beginning to have anxieties about this upcoming semester. I want to sleep! I don't want to do studio. Already, my heart is grumbling and hardening. Would my only hope be soley in You... -- This is my second day in San Francisco at Field Paoli Architects as an extern. So far I've just been helping out with marketing and paperwork--nothing much, but, of course that's completely expected because my skills are pretty limited. It's been refreshing talking with a lot of people and hearing about what projects they're working on. I can't see myself pursuing any other major. About 50% of the people who work at this company are Cal graduates! Today is actually kind of boring because all I'v been doing is scanning a FATTY (400+ pages) reference guide about environmental design construction. It's taking forever... HOWEVER! I really like the work environment and everyone's so nice. :) [edit 5:45 p.m. 01.04.07]Oh my goodness... My supposedly week long externship got cut short to only TWO days. They're so disorganized. I'm really disappointed. At least I get to fill out an evaluation from the Career Center and give my honest brutal opinion. I had dinner with the high school girl group for Angela's birthday. It was interesting looking back on my high school days and realizing the ways in which I've changed as well as the ways in which I haven't. |
