My weekend was so great! :)
FRIDAY.... 1. Met up with these two girls I met two months ago who are part of the Unification Church. It was sweet finally meeting up with them, but then again it was difficult because of the clear-cut differences in doctrine. I hope to meet up with them again. 2. NO ECF! I made yummy sandwiches with the Shiah-ster and then some of the sophomores climbed the Big C! It was my first time and man is it STEEP. The view was beautiful so it was worth it (well, it was pretty short actually). We watched the sunset and sang praise to our awesome Creator. 3. Afterwards we headed to the A-Ghetto to fulfill our boba cravings and went back to Love House for a great time of fellowship and prayer meeting. 4. Oh man, but afterwards we got the Taboo and it was ON! My throat was sore a little bit the following morning from all that screaming and excitement. Here is a small excerpt: Lena, "5 people!" Me, "SPICE GIRLS!" Ding! Correct! SATURDAY.... 1. Welcome Team meeting! :) 2. No paintballing for me... Jay and I went to San Francisco to visit the Asian Art Museum for our ARCH170B homework. We went in and out quite quickly, but it was cool spending time in the China section (especially all that jade!). And dang, false idols were everywhere. 3. We took the wrong BART train back and because of deep conversations involving backpacking across Europe and "Man vs. Wild," while snacking on Girl Scout Cookies, we didn't realize this until we were in South Hayward. 4. Jamba Juice craving was satisfied. 5. MOST INTERESTING PART. We waited a very long time for the 40L AC Transit bus. When it did come around, shortly after it stopped at the bus stop near Unit 3, all of a sudden I smelled smoke. Then I saw a bunch of smoke behind Jay (through the window) and the bus driver started shouting, "Oh my gosh! The bus is on fire! Everybody get off the bus!" Everyone scrambled off and from what we saw, the back of the bus had a lot of smoke coming off of it and on the ground there was a small pile of flames. Jay and I went to Unit 3 to get help because there were already firetrucks there (false fire alarm in one of the dorms). At first, I didn't think the fireman believed me! Then, many others started approaching the firemen saying, "THE BUS IS ON FIRE!" So they powerwalked (no, they did not run in immediacy) their way over to the bus. After a couple minutes, we got bored and left. Man, we spent so much time regarding transportation, but it was worth it! How often do you get to be in a burning public bus? 5. DINNER WITH some of the SOPHOMORE SISTERS! How could I forget? I guess I was too consumed with the burning bus. We ate ate the lovely Macaroni Grill (Lena, the girl who told me to dress up, came in pants -__-). I was so stuffed. Delicious. Linguine Alla Vongole as always! SUNDAY.... 1. CHURCH! :) Fruits of Faithfulness... always a rebuke, an encouragement, and a challenge. 2. IT WAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL WARM DAY! Lena and I went to Memorial Glade and we studied there for a couple hours. It was so relaxing and refreshing to be outdoors. THEN! Justin and Sam invited us to go to the Marina to study some more! More outdoors! More studying! After we left the marina, Lena and I studied more outside near the SLC and then eventually moved our way to Moffitt5. 3. I ended the day with a house meeting. There aren't that many left... :( This upcoming week.... History of Art midterm! The Vertical project! 10-pg rough draft! Jia you. |
