"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us...For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?...But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it."

- Romans 8:18-25

Neverending summer

A lot has happened since the last time I updated. I got let go from my job at EDAW due to light work all around the company. Was a bit bummed when I received the phone call mainly because I wouldn't be able to see all the hard work I was doing come into fruition. Still so thankful that I had the opportunity to work with the company and have something impressive to show on my resume. Things have been somewhat uneventful this past week--I'm starting to feel what unemployment's really like. I don't think it'll really hit me until my brother leaves for Duke and others start school at Cal.

My mom wants to start her own YouTube cooking channel and wants me to help her. When she told me about her proposal this evening, I thought in my head, "Man how am I going to help her if I'm away at Berkeley and doing homework?" Two short seconds later it hit me that I'm NOT going back to school. I'll be at home probably doing nothing and with plenty of time to help her. Pretty bittersweet.

So I've been applying to jobs... concocting a ton of reasons why I'm the "perfect candidate" and why "my education and experiences will help me excel at this position," and converting word document after word document into PDFs.

Going to Southern California this past weekend helped me partially fall in love with the whole sunny-by-the-beach idea of potentially living there. I don't want to romanticize the idea, though. My nose was stuffy pretty much the entire trip and I blame it on the pollution. Wouldn't it be amazing to live together in one house with Cheryl and Valerie, though??

Anyway... my biggest recent concern has been my terrible terrible skin. A year ago, it was beautiful, now I don't know what the heck happened. Was it because I turned 21? Was it because of my 7 weeks of horrible Denmark eating (they don't eat veggies and yet are still so thin)? I've been trying various skin cares (ProActiv, mud masks, egg masks). I have yet to see my face get better.

Okay, time to watch 17 Again. What's the big deal with Zac Efron anyway?

Okay, Zac is a cutie.
